ST. ED'S HOSTS 2021 WINTER PERFORMING ARTS CONCERT VIRTUALLY

This Sunday, the St. Ed's Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble, and Symphonic Bands will be performing their annual Winter Concert in-person for their families and virtually for the rest of the community to enjoy. Having practiced throughout the school year in smaller groups to maintain safety protocols, this weekend's concert will be the first opportunity for students to play all together in the same space. "We broke our band into three smaller ensembles - a Woodwind Choir, a Brass Choir, and a Percussion Ensemble. Each of those groups will play two pieces in addition to the one large group piece," says Director of Performing Arts Angelo Kortyka '98. "The concert will have something for everyone. I hope everyone can join us for a relaxing evening of live music." Playing a diverse program with a variety of styles and instrumentation across all ensembles, the St. Ed's performing arts students will be performing selections from Beethoven and the Renaissance era to blues, swing and Latin music.
