STUDENTS LAUNCH CAMPUS-WIDE SUICIDE PREVENTION CAMPAIGN WITH IMPACTFUL MARKETING STRATEGIES

Freshmen students have taken on a real-world experience by launching a campus-wide Suicide Prevention Campaign at St. Ed's. Using different branding and marketing strategies to increase awareness and spark conversations about this close-to-home initiative, students have teamed up to create public service announcements, print media, a Suicide Prevention podcast, and a social media marketing campaign.

From designing and posting billboards, filming and producing their own video announcements, to laying out a thorough social media calendar to manage scheduled content, students have taken creative initiative to come up with captivating material, thought-provoking dialogue and simplistic, eye-catching branding.

Working together to create a cohesive campaign, students honed in on their research and communication skills, critical thinking, social awareness and self-management to best use their strengths and present an impactful message to the community. By acknowledging the mental health challenges students can face every day, this Suicide Prevention Campaign emphasizes how to seek mental health support and encourages students to be there for each other as a unified, supportive brotherhood.
